BJP's Telangana Chief Bandi Sanjay's sudden tour to Delhi has sparked off furious debate both within and outside the party. On Wednesday, he was suddenly called to Delhi to discuss important political developments. Sanjay met with party leaders and discussed about the latest political situation in the poll-bound Telangana state.
Highly placed sources said that the meeting was called to discuss the issue of senior Congress leaders Eleti Maheshwar Reddy, Jupally krishna Rao and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy joining the party. The party leadership consulted Sanjay on what positions should be offered to these three leaders. The visit follows Eatala Rajender's briefing to the Central leaders on these three leaders.
Meanwhile, the BJP national leadership has also reportedly taken into cognizance Bandi Sanjay's arrest in the question paper leakage scam. The party leadership is said to have taken a serious view of the treatment meted out to Bandi Sanjay. It also evaluated the party cadre's response to the arrest.
Sources also said that Bandi Sanjay has prepared a detailed dossier on the behavious of Warangal commissioner of police Ranganath. The Warangal police manhandled Sanjay and did not give him proper reasons for his arrest. The press comments by Ranganath have also violated the privileges of an MP, the party feels. If sources are to be believed, Bandi Sanjay is planning to move a privileges motion against the Warangal CP.april
