Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to allot two IPS officers and one IAS officer to Andhra Pradesh. In his letter Babu reportedly asked the centre to allot the IPS officers Surendra Babu and Anuradha and the IAS officer J.S.V.Prasad to Andhra Pradesh.

There were many surprises in the allocation of IPS officers to the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana announced by the Centre late recently. Presently, Intelligence IG of AP, Anuradha, was allocated to Telangana while her husband and senior IPS officer N.V. Surendra Babu –who too opted for Telangana- was allocated to A.P

Chandrababu Naidu has willingly chosen Anuradha as his intelligence chief and he don’t want to lose her to telangana state.Chandrababu reportedly mentioned the worth of the IPS pair in his letter and mentioned the need of those officers to the residuary state

N.V. Surendra Babu was served as Commissioner of the City of Vijayawada (Police between 2001 and 2004. He was promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police in 2007 as reward for his exemplary service.

Between 2006 and 2007, he served as Additional Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police for the Co-ordination Wing. The last date for IAS,IPS and IFS officials to send their objections over the cadre allocation will end on Friday.

The expectations in the official sources are such that there are chances for J.S.V.Prasad to get Andhra Pradesh cadre.
