In the light of escalating border tensions between Indian and Chinese troops alongside the Sino-Indian border, India's Chief of Defence Staff CDS General Bipin Rawat made some sensational comments.
According to some media reports, talking about the talks between the two army troops, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat categorically said if talks won't yield in the fruitful outcome, they have military option to teach the Chinese troops a lesson.
'While the government is making plans to resolve the border tensions in a peaceful manner, the Chinese Army is not stepping back. Indian Defence services are ready for military actions to restore the status quo along the LAC,' some media reports quoted Bipin Rawat.
Talking about the measures taken by India, Bipin Rawat reportedly said Defence minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and other concerned authorities are looking at the possible option to see that People's Liberation Army(PLA) restore the status quo.
The border tensions between China and India escalated quickly, after the violent standoff between the two troops that took place at Eastern Ladakh that resulted in 20 Indian soldiers and some Chinese soldiers too losing their lives.
Since then, both the army chiefs called for talks to solve the border tensions but the Chinese Army continues to display its aggression at the border. To counter China, India too deployed troops along the border.
