YSR Congress fell short of Half Century

Update: 2016-05-30 07:03 GMT
After YS Jagan declared before Raj Bhavan that he is capable of destabilizing the TDP Government, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched Operation Akarsh to teach a fitting lesson to the Main Opposition. So far, 17 YCP MLAs were paved red carpet to shift loyalties to Ruling Party. The strength of YCP has come down to 50 from 67 after 2014 Polls.

Very soon, YSR Congress gonna fell short of the half-century mark as couple of its Legislators would like to join TDP with a week. Giddalur MLA Ashok Reddy fixed June 1st as muhurat to jump the fence.

On the other hand, TDP is trying its best to deny YCP its lone Rajya Sabha seat. YCP MLAs who joined TDP were asked to reach Vijayawada by Monday evening to take part in a meeting. Industrialist Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy who quit YCP recently appealed Chandrababu Naidu to nominate him as the fourth candidate of the party. However, Naidu wants to take the opinion of YCP Rebel MLAs before moving ahead.
