Telangana's First Woman Minister Is A Cong MLA!

Update: 2019-06-10 12:57 GMT
TRS Government set a bad precedent by inducting Opposition MLAs into the Cabinet in the first term. The same practice might be followed by the Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao during his second term as well.

Chevella MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy is one of the 12 Congress MLAs who defected to the TRS. In the upcoming cabinet expansion, KCR could be offering cabinet berth to Sabitha Indra Reddy. Any such development makes Sabitha earn a place for herself in the record books as Telangana's first-ever Woman Minister.

Sabitha Indra Reddy served as Home Minister in YS Rajasekhar Reddy's Cabinet. She is known as Chevella Chellamma because of the sentimental attachment of YSR.

Though he mayn't retain Irrigation Portfolio, Harish Rao could be receiving a prominent portfolio in the TRS Cabinet. While KTR might also join the cabinet, Kavitha who faced defeat in the Nizamabad Lok Sabha Constituency might be nominated to Rajya Sabha.
