Covid-19 was detected really late and people who travelled to China contracted it so soon that it spread all over the world, before people could identify the issue.
China Government tried to first cover it up and WHO thought it was an epidemic and many countries continued to go through their regular routines. But when the reality has stuck the world with deaths in Iran, Italy and Virus spreading globally very quickly, things changed.
The worst and first affected country, China started acting fast and they are close to containing it. While the doctors and scientists group appointed by WHO are busy trying to find a permanent cure and vaccine for the disease that became a pandemic now, China is helping others to contain it.
China took isolation process pretty seriously and started identifying deadly severe cases from mildly severe cases on a large scale. Improved tests and started building more & more quarantine facilities to achieve isolation of the affected more effectively.
This helped them in reduction of deaths, new infections and now, even Chinese doctors are looking at improving a vaccine for the virus. As it takes time to come up with a vaccine and treatment that can cure everyone, containing is the only way to deal with Covid-19.
