China's Wuling Beats Us Tesla In Electric Car Segment

Here's some electrifying news. Chinese electric car Wuling ong Guang Mini EV has beaten the famed Tesla's electric vehicles in terms of sale. The sales reports in January and Februray this year show that the Chinese EV has sold over 20000 cars as against Tesla's 13700.

There are several positives in the Chinese Wuling gong Guang Mini, more popular as just Wuling. It's cheaper and comes for just $4k. Not just that, it also clocks 100 km per hour, which is reasonably good. Further, it gives a mileage of 170 km per charge. The vehicle is a join production of China state-owned SAIC motors, Wuling Motors, US giant General Motors. The vehicle weighs 1466 pounds and is 64 inches tall. The wheel base is 76.4 inches.

On the contrary, Tesla's 3 EV has a better mileage per charge. It gets up to 250 miles per charge. It has a wheel base of 113 inches as against Wuling's 76.4 inches. The vehicle is 57 inches tall. But, the biggest negative factor is that it costs US$40000. It is the price that is making it very prohibitive, say automobile experts.
