Even Former Ministers Abstaining From TDP Meetings

Update: 2019-07-21 08:13 GMT
Time was when the venues would be brimming with people when the district incharge minister arrived in Visakhapatnam district. But, that's no longer the case. Former deputy chief minister and Vizag incharge Nimmalakayala Chinarajappa realised this recently.

Few days ago, he went to Vizag to take stock of the TDP party position in the district. To his surprise, the audience was very small. Several key leaders gave the programme a miss. Those who came were low in the pecking order and were inconsequential as far as the programme implementation is concerned.  What more, both the former ministers from  the district - Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu and Ganta Srinivasa Rao skipped the meeting. While in power, both the leaders were always at loggerheads and sniped at each other. Their quarrels used to go to Chandrababu Naidu for mediation. But, this time around, both the former ministers have abstained from the meeting. There are reports that Ganta is planning to join the BJP along with other Kapu leaders. Ayyanna Patrudu too is currently inactive.

China Rajappa held a meeting with the small bunch of workers and immediately left for Peddapuram.
