The return of the Trump administration has instigated a serious set of regulations when it comes to immigration policies and visa logistics. The new government is going really hard on the policies that are in place for temporary visa holders and immigrants in the United States of America.

Coming to the topic now, the latest media reports are suggesting that the Indian student community in the United States is absolutely shaken up with the regulations that are being enforced by the Trump administration.

Firstly, several Indian students are said to be quitting their part-time jobs in the fear of getting deported back to India.

All the Indian students used to work in off campus, part-time gigs that were largely undocumented works. Though this was low income stream of revenue, several Indian students indulged in the same in order to make a living in the United States.

However, the Trump administration is said to be going really hard on imposing the 20 hour a week on campus work regulation. Anyone who is found working outside the campus premises will face legal consequences, and could even get deported to their origin country.

So the Indian students who are currently working on part-time gigs in the United States are said to be quitting their jobs effective immediately as they are facing serious fear of legal consequences.

But at the same time, this part-time culture is the main source of income for the major majority of the Indian students residing in the United States. They will have to find some other stream of income.
