Stop glorifying Naidu, Support Victims: Chiru to Media

Update: 2015-07-14 05:12 GMT
Former Union Minister Chiranjeevi and Opposition Leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy responded on the Pushkar Ghat stampede which claimed the lives of 27 people in Rajahmundry Today.

Chiranjeevi: "Its a case of clear mis-management of crowd and administration failure. None other than Chandrababu has to be held responsible for stampede as he himself looked after all the arrangements, even sidelining the concerned minister. We won't demand him to resign...it will be of no use as he won't be doing that ever. But, I ask him to question himself on who have to take the responsibility for the death of so many innocent people. Few news channel have been glorifying the two tears shed by Chandrababu post the stampede. I ask them if they are on the side of people or working for the government. What about the people who lost their lives and loved ones? I appeal the media to support the families of the victims. We demand Rs 25 lakh ex-gratia per person".

Jagan: "My heart goes out to the bereaved families of the tragedy in RJM pushkar ghat. The pilgrims are dismayed with this inhumane incompetent govt".
