Citing Secunderabad Army Hospital report, Supreme Court says, Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju has injuries!
India's top court, the Supreme Court has heard the bail petition of YSRCP Rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju aka RRR on Friday. The MP was arrested by the AP CID sleuths in connection with a sedition case earlier last week.
During the hearing, Supreme Court Judge justice Vineet Saran said, the report submitted by the Secunderabad Army Hospital says, Raghurama Krishnam Raju has a fracture of the toe a few other injuries.
The Judge read out the medical examination report of RRR. The report confirms that he had injuries. The Supreme Court received an X-ray and video of the medical examination process.
Citing the medical report, Mukul Rohatgi, who represented the Rebel MP told that court, it was true the Parliamentarian was tortured in the Police Cudtsody after his arrest. The advocate said a CBI inquiry should be launched into the matter.
Advocate Dushyant Dave, who represented the Andhra Pradesh government counter the claims of RRR's advocate and expressed his doubt whether the MP injured himself. The tribunal has also asked the same question whether Narsapuram MP injured himself before he was shifted to the army hospital.
Adjourning the next hearing of the case, the Supreme Court said, it will hear the arguments of Mukul Rohatgi on why the MP should be given bail in the case, and later it would hear the arguments of the AP government.
RRR was arrested by AP CID officials on charges of sedition from his residence in Hyderabad. Later, he was shifted to the Guntur CID office for questioning. After questioning, he moved the court. He alleged that cops mishandled him and bet him.
