Cognizant bows down to Trump pressure!

Update: 2017-05-06 16:22 GMT
Popular MNC, Cognizant announced their first quarter results and also future plans about the company hiring policy. Trump after becoming the President of US, has been openly threatening all the Information technology service oriented companies in America to not hire outers but Americans more.

He is tightening up the immigration laws each day and due to those hard laws and continuous pressure, giants like Infosys have announced that they will reduce pressure on H1-B visas and hire Americans for the jobs. Now, Cognizant too made the similar announcement. The company director Rajeev Mehta confirmed this as their future hiring policy that they will hire Americans and reduce the H1-B visa applicants from the company by half in comparison to last financial year.

Cognizant saw great profits in this quarter and 75% of them are earned from US. So to continue doing business with US, any organisation has to give in to Trump pressure. While this is a bad news for all Indian techies who are planning  to migrate to America, for Americans this is the best possible move. More than 2,11,000 jobs have been created in the past three months and by April, the Unemployment index has come down to 4.4%, the lowest reported figure in the last decade.
