Congress Chief Polls: Senior Leader Having a Slight Advantage!

After a long time, the Congress party went for the elections to elect the All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief. Non-Gandhi family members contested the polls and the much-talked-about polls commenced peacefully. Around 96 percent of Congress delegates used their vote right.

Now all eyes are on the elections to see who will win the elections and lead the grand old party which carries the rich legacy. Senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor contested the polls and cast their votes.

The two candidates gave their best in the campaign and the campaign activities reminded everyone of the general elections. MP Shashi Tharoor made some sensational comments during the campaign and raised many eyeballs. Not just the Congress leaders but even the common people are also waiting to see who would win the polls.

Though Shashi Tharoor is also a hot favorite, Mallikarjun Kharge is likely to have an upper hand as the senior leaders are behind him. The senior leaders campaigning for him to see that he wins the polls.

The other factors which are favouring Khadge are his caste background and his close ties with the Gandhi family. These factors place him in a better position compared to Tharoor. As per the schedule, the votes would be counted on the 19th of this month and the result would be announced on the same day.
