Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. In times of Corona, attending weddings and other functions is a strict No. Thankfully, Rajya Sabha MP Joginipalli Santosh Kumar seems to have taken this advice a tad too seriously. Unlike other politicians, who flaunt their VIP status and flout the rules, the TRS MP has decided not to attend even the wedding of his near and dear.
The other day, his personal security officer Narender Goud got married in Bhongir town. Though invited, Santosh Kumar chose not to attend the function. Instead, he called the bride and the groom through video call and greeted them on the occasion. He told them through the video call that he was not attending the wedding as a precautionary measure. He said he was following the diktat of Chief Minister KCR who advised social distancing to fight off Corona.
Santosh has also made a name for himself when he promoted sapling planting in a big way on his birthday. Several celebrities and VIPs accepted his green challenge and planted saplings.
