Covid Hits Gandhi Family: After Sonia, Priyanka Tests Covid+

Update: 2022-06-03 07:40 GMT
As a big blow to the grand old Congress party, which has been ruling India since we got independence, law enforcement agency, and economic intelligence agency, the Directorate of Enforcement slapped a notice for the party in a money laundering case in an old case which traces back to a few years back.

As if it was not enough, Gandhi's family daughter-in-law Sonia Gandhi tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, the other day. Having come in contact with the contagious virus, Congress party interim President Sonia Gandhi announced the same and isolated herself following the due procedure.

The deadly Covid virus is not leaving the Gandhi family. After Sonia Gandhi, her daughter Priyanka Gandhi had now tested positive for the virus. Taking to social media, the Gandhi scion announced the news and said that, she developed the mild symptoms of the virus and he is following self-quarantine.

"I've tested positive with mild symptoms. Following all the protocols, I've quarantined myself at home. I would request those who came in contact with me to take all necessary precautions," Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted earlier today.

The Congress party which pinned high hopes on the Lok Sabha polls to revive the party is giving its best in bringing back the lost glory to the party. As part of this, the grand old party Congress held the 'Nav Sankalp' meeting. During the meeting, various issues were discussed on how the party can be revived by giving tickets to youth leaders.

Sonia Gandhi actively took part in the meetings and she is believed to have developed the Covid symptoms from the meetings as various leaders from the Congress party came together for the meeting. With Sonia Gandhi developing the symptoms, Priyanka Gandhi might have caught the virus from her mother.

If not for the Covid virus, the Gandhi Scion Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would have met the leaders and cadre in Uttar Pradesh, the stronghold of the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). In the recent polls in Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi was made the in-charge of the party. Despite Priyanka actively campaigning in the state, Congress lost the polls cheaply.
