It's now almost official! Parchur strongman and NTR's other son-in-law Daggubati Venkateshwar Rao is all set to retire from politics. After he was told by the YSRCP top leadership that he cannot remain in the party if his wife and former Union minister Daggubati Purandeswari is in the BJP and continues to remain critical of the YSRCP. The party leadership told him clearly that he cannot ride two boats at the same time. It now emerges that Daggubati has decided to retire from politics and allow his wife to remain in the BJP.
Purandeswari, who was in the US on a vacation, returned on Thursday and reportedly, the Daggubati's discussed their political future. Purandeswari reportedly remained firm that she would remain in the BJP. Meanwhile, their son Hitesh Chenchuram too insisted that till his citizenship issue is not solved, there was no point in staying in the YSRCP. So, Daggubati reportedly decided that it would be better if he retires from politics.
However, Daggubati Venkateswar Rao is likely to issue an open letter to his supporters and then retire from active politics. But, YSRCP leadership was firm that Daggubati cannot continue in the party, while his wife Purandeswari is in the BJP, which will criticise the BJP.
