A Dalit family bared it all in public in protest against the inaction of the Police in Gautam Budh Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh. A video of the naked Dalit family's protest at the market in Dankaur went viral on social media. After which, A team of Senior Officers with few women cops rushed to the spot and taken the family, including three women, away and case of public obscenity was booked against them.
A National Commission for Scheduled Castes team visited the Dankaur area to met the Dalit Family for inquiring why they have protested in such a manner. It came to light that Police refused to register an FIR for a complaint of robbery despite placing multiple requests.
Reportedly, Sunil Gautam reached Dankaur police station along with his family members to file a robbery case against his neighbour Mahavir with whom he had a land dispute. The family alleged Mahavir attacked them and robbed the valuables from the residence. After Police refused to file an FIR, The Dalit family went outside and bared it all alleging that injustice is being done to them and the accused is defended by the officials.
