Kadapa district Congress Committee president Neeli Srinivas Rao has resigned from the primary membership of the party as also from the president's post. Well! That's no big deal. Many people across the country are leaving the Congress party these days and Rao is just one among them, one might say.

But, Neeli Srinivas Rao has resigned not for political reasons. He is not joining any other political party anytime in future. He is all set to join a new job. Yes. He has got a job as a government teacher in Andhra Pradesh. He was chosen during the recent teacher interviews and the appointment letter was handed over to him the other day by DEO Raghava Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that he always wanted to be a teacher and had worked very hard to become a government teacher. He said as a government teacher, he is not allowed to have any political affiliation. Hence, he has resigned from the primary membership of the Congress Party, he told mediapersons.

Interestingly, Rao was selected as a teacher on the basis of a DSC examination he had given way back in 1998. So, he has got a teacher's job 25 years after he wrote the examination. He said he would strive to impart quality education to the students from the rural and economically poor backgrounds.
