Deputy chief minister faces dissidence everywhere

He was an MLA for the last three times. But he has never encountered any dissidence. But, this time around, soon after he was anointed the deputy chief minister, dissidence and groupism has raised its ugly head in his district. This has become a headache for the senior leader. The leader in question is none other than deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and Chittoor MLA Narayana Swamy.

Several sarpanches, MPPs, MPTCs and ZPTCs have turned against Narayana Swamy. They are openly criticising him and are brazenly claiming that they would not work for him the coming elections of 2024. The situation is more or less similar in Vedurukuppam, Karvetinagaram, Penumuru, SR Puram and Gangadhara Nellore mandals of Chittoor district.

The situation has come to such a pass that Narayana Swamy was greeted with protests wherever he went during the recent Gadapa Gadapaku Jagananna programme. Several party workers raised the issue of rampant corruption and questioned about Narayana swamy's inaction. They told him point blank that they would not support him in the next elections of 2024.
