With the infections of the ongoing pandemic increasing at a rapid phase, all the eyes are on the latest developments concerning the potential vaccine to cure the respiratory disease.

If everything goes well, the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine candidate might be the first vaccine to reach India as the results of the first phase are quite impressive. Volunteers who received the dose displayed an increase in immunity.

Bharat Biotech's Covaxin is another vaccine that is expected to reach the final testing stage and emerge as the potential vaccine to cure the pandemic. With no side effects found in the I and II phases, Bharat Biotech will gear up for the III phase very soon.

On the other hand, the vaccine is being developed by the Serum Institute of India in collaboration with the UK's Oxford-AstraZeneca named AZD1222 is also expected to reach the final stage.

The good thing about these vaccines is that any vaccines among the three reach the final stage, the vaccine will be given to the population of India. Later, the pharma giants might eye on suppling to other nations.

American biotechnology giant Moderna is gearing for the III Phase of Clinical trial of the vaccine. As per some media reports, Moderna will test the vaccine on as many as 30,000 volunteers.

Earlier, Russia announced the world's first vaccine to cure the pandemic. The vaccine was produced by Moscow's Gamaleya Institute in collaboration with the Defence Ministry.
