Newly appointed minister Dharmana Prasada Rao was shocked to see that not everyone is happy with his ascent to the minister's post. Even his elder brother seemed distinctly unhappy on his elevation. The supporters of Dharmana's elder brother Dharmana Krishna Das were not present when Dharmana was felicitated in Srikakulam on his elevation. This has shown beyond doubt that not all is okay in Srikakulam YSRCP.
Despite the invitation, several key leaders from both Narasannapet and Amadalavalasa gave a miss to the felicitation. Not just Dharmana Krishna Das, even speaker Tammineni Seetaram chose to give the programme a miss. Not just the ministers, but even their kin were not to be seen at the venue.
In fact, Dharmana Prasada Rao too did not make any mention of Dharmana Krisha Das in his speech. Interestingly, he referred to corruption in the revenue department. Krishna Das held this department till now. Prasada Rao said that he would ensure that the revenue department is rid of corruption. This is being seen as an indictment of Krishna Das's handling of the ministry.
Krishna Das' follower and DCCB chairperson K Rajeswara Rao did attend the programme. But, he was not called on the stage. After waiting for some time, Rao silently left the venue. The felicitation programme is being seen as an attempt on the part of Dharmana Prasada Rao to assert himself. It remains to be seen how Krishna Das and Tammineni react to this.
