Digital India profile photo to promote Internet.org

Facebook  CEO Mark Zuckerberg modified his profile photos to show support the Digital India initiative. Even Indian Prime minister Modi also changed his profile pic and embedded with tricolor.Soon many users on Facebook modified their own profile photos to express their support. But soem shocking reports emerging behind this act and its definitely an  unpleasant truth

One of the user  shares a photo of an alleged code behind the modified profile photos. The code includes a particular line 'internetOrgProfilePicture__prideAvatar'

The mention of Internet.org in the code is raising several doubts. Its known that internet.org initiative by facebook is facing criticism for. Internet.org is a partnership between Facebook and six companies (Samsung, Ericsson,MediaTek, Opera Software, Nokia and Qualcomm) that plans to bring affordable access to selected Internet services to less developed countries.

Many alleged that its role as a gatekeeper is against the very fabric of net neutrality. It has been criticized for violating net neutrality and favoring Facebook's own services over its rivals. Facebook launched Internet.org in India earlier this year in partnership with RCom. Many feels that the changing profile pic aimed at promoting internet.org.
