Dokka Manikya Varaprasad Resigns From TDP

Seasoned politico, former minister and MLC in AP Dokka Manikya Varaprasad has given a clarification about his decision to keep away from the TdP activities. He has announced his resignation from the Telugu Desam Party. But, he has not yet given any clarification about whether he is joining the YSRCP.

Interestingly, in an open letter sent to Chandrababu Naidu. Dokka Manikya Varaprasad has said that he was deeply pained by the comments made against him by the TDP leaders and workers and has decided to put in his papers. He said even before the assembly sessions he was veering towards the YSRCP, but he categorically said that there was no attempt on his part to approach the YSRCP leadership. He said regardless of the party he is in,he would continue to serve the people. He said that he has not met any YSRCP leader so far.  He also slammed the media houses that were trying to peddle wrong stories about him.

The former minister said that he was fully dedicated to the welfare of the people and that the party he is in is of no consequence to him. He said he will only work for the people of the state in general and his constitutency in particular.
