Dr. Sudhakar, who questioned Govt over PPE Kits, passes away with heart attack
Dalit doctor Dr. Sudhakar, who made it to the headlines last year during the first wave of Covid outbreak in Andhra Pradesh by questioning the government breathed his last on Friday night due to a heart attack.
The doctor, who rendered his services at the state-run hospital in Andhra Pradeshâs Narsipatnam suffered a heart attack last night in the shore city Visakhapatnam. The tragic incident has left everyone in shock.
Dr. Sudhakar passed away when the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) was yet to submit the final order on the doctors' case. It is said that CBI is set to submit its report in a few weeks.
He came to the limelight in 2020, when he became critical of Andhra Pradesh alleging that doctors, who treat the pandemic patients were not provided with N95 facemasks and PPE kits.
After the video of him, questioning the government went viral on social media, the government swung into action and suspended him from his post. A few days later, some unidentified persons thrashed him and he was shifted to a mental hospital for treatment. His case was given to CBI for a detailed investigation and the reports are awaited.
It is said that the doctor had tested positive for the Covid virus recently and recovered from the deadly virus recently. After recovering from the virus, he has been spending time at his residence in Seethammadhara.
