As a sensational development, the Enforcement Directorate sleuths have busted an alleged fraud casino gang that operates in the country and outside the territory as well. Along with the casino organiser, his partner is also under the ED scanner, and searches were held in multiple locations in Telangana capital Hyderabad.

The issue also turned political as an MLA sticker used by a Cabinet Minister was also seized by the ED. This made the investigation officers curious and they started digging deeper into the issue. The officers also focused on the transactions made by the casino organisers.

The investigation found a lot of new things. As the officers found that Casino organizer Chikoti Praveen Kumar has a few bigshots as clients, the ED officials are probing the matter from various angles.

The initial investigation alleges that the clients of the accused Praveen Kumar include big shots from the political arena and the entertainment arena as well.

As part of the investigation, the officials reportedly found that Praveen Kumar allegedly paid money to a few Bollywood stars and Tollywood stars to appear in the promotional videos of the casino. The accused reportedly used the stars to promote Casino and get good money.

A popular news channel in Telugu quoted the ED officials as saying that accused Praveen Kumar gave money to popular faces in Bollywood and Tollywood like Amisha Patel, Nora Fatehi, Eesha Rebba, Dimple Hayathi, Mumait Khan, and others.

All these stars and heroines were given remunerations in lakhs to appear in the promotional videos. If we have to take anything from the reports, Praveen Kumar even roped in a veteran actor from the B-town for the videos.

On the other hand, the laws dealing with gambling and casino activities are tough to understand. The casino is a state matter and the state government can frame its own guidelines as far as the affair is concerned.

While Casino activities are banned in almost all the states in the country, three states made casinos legal. Goa, Daman, and Sikkim made casino activities legal and it is not a crime to participate in casino activities in these states.
