Telangana Derives Permission For Plasma Therapy

In the wake of the rise of the positive cases of novel coronavirus, the Telangana government got a nod from the Centre to go ahead with the convalescent plasma therapy.

The same was confirmed by Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender who called for a press briefing regarding the same.
 
"Now they have asked us to go ahead saying the permission is deemed to have been given," Etela Rajender said.

The plasma therapy requires deriving blood from the recovered COVID 19 patients and separating the plasma from it and again transmitting it to the patients who were in a critical situation.

The Minister went on to say that 13 fresh positive cases were reported on Friday which takes the toll of the positive cases to 983. As many as 291 patients were discharged from the hospitals to date and 25 fatalities were reported in the state.
