Pandemic Diaries: Organizers Postpone Numaish Exhibition

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, which left a heavy toll on several festivals and events so far has hit the famous annual consumer exhibition Numaish, which will be held annually in Telangana's Hyderabad.

Exhibition Society president Etela Rajender announced that the annual exhibition was postponed to the 31st of January. Based on the situation prevailing after January 31, the decision would be taken on whether to conduct the exhibition or not.

He made the announcement while addressing a press conference today. The Minister cited the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines which will be in effect till the 31st of January and said these guidelines should be followed.

His announcement, came a day before the Numaish exhibition, which was earlier scheduled to commence from the 1st of January. The exhibition is supposed to last till the 15th of February.

Well, the new development will add more troubles and difficulties to the shopkeepers associated with the exhibition. Businesses worth hundreds of crores got affected by this.

Taking about the vaccination drive, the Minister said, all the required arrangements were made. Once the vaccine is rolled out, we will distribute the vaccine in the state too.
