One thing that the top officials in Telangana Government are worried these days is Chief Minister KCR's review meeting. Whenever KCR calls for a review meeting these days, the only topic discussed is the RTC strike. Only this topic is coming up for exhaustive discussion. Not just that, the review meetings are taking at least eight to nine hours on trot. The officials have to sit through the meeting and offer details of whatever clarification he asks for.
The long meetings are marked by very detailed discussions where even small things are discussed for hours. KCR painstakingly asks for every detail and many a time, the officials find themselves with no relevant data on the issue. They hurriedly ask their subordinates to send the answer. KCR was the transport minister during the TDP rule in undivided AP and knows the department like the palm of his hand.
But more than anything, KCR does not eat much during the day time. But most of the senior bureaucrats are either diabetic or very hungry. They are finding the going very tough. In fact, one official quipped that they want a very speedy end to the RTC strike so that there would no longer be required to attend these longish meetings.
