Renegade BRS leader and former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is still undecided about which party to join. He is said to be weighing all the options available to him. After he has been suspended from the BRS, he has begun exploring all his options. If sources are to be believed, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has three major options.
Firstly, he could join the Congress Party as his colleague and fellow-traveller Jupally Krishna Rao is from the Congress Party. The second option is to join the BJP. Ponguleti has been in touch with the national leaders of the BJP for quite some time. However, he needs some specific guarantees to join the BJP in Telangana. The third option available to him is to float a local party in association with Jupally Krishna Rao.
Interestingly, YSRTP chief YS Sharmila has invited him into her party. She reminded Pongoleti of his association with the Congress and the YSRCP. In fact, Ponguleti was elected an MP from Khammam on YSRCP ticket. However, Ponguleti is in no mood to join the YSRTP. He feels the party would not be able to measure up to his expectations.
Ponguleti made interesting comments when he said that he cannot commit suicide just because YS Sharmila has invited him. He said that despite his long association with the YSR family, he knows that the YSRTP would not be able to address his concerns. He said that he would join a party that would fulfil his objectives.
