In a shocking turn of events, tension gripped the Rohini court in the national capital Delhi after a minor blast was reported a while ago. Preliminary reports say that the incident left a person with minor injuries. Soon after the explosion, the court proceedings were stopped with immediate effect.
Going by the media reports, the minor explosion was reported in courtroom number 102 at around 11 AM today. As a precautionary measure, the court proceedings were stopped and the authorities swung into action to know the reason behind the tense situation at the courtroom number.
A police case has been filed in this regard and the investigation is underway. Despite no official information, it has been widely reported that the explosion happened as a result of the laptop battery explosion. The initial reports suggest the same, however, an official statement is awaited.
The authorities have called for the firefighters to bring the situation under control. It is said that there is nothing to worry about now and only one person sustained injuries. As many as six fire workers were called by the authorities.
After the incident happened, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had rushed to the spot to investigate the matter. The Forensic experts were also called by the authorities to ascertain the reason behind this.
Media reports say that a victim who sustained injuries in the explosion is believed to be police personnel. The cop was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be fine now.
However, a few reports also say that a low powerbomb blast would have taken place in the courtroom triggering a sense situation. The improvised explosive device (IED) is believed to have been used for this and a tiffin bomb might have been used for this.
