Foreigner Rohingyas get Indian passport from Bodhan

Update: 2021-02-07 03:08 GMT
While the Union Home Ministry and security agencies are worried about the influx and the activities of the Rohingyas in India and the latter's involvement in nefarious activities, a section of the police was found to help the very same Rohingyas to secure passports by faking as Indian citizens.

In a recent revelation, it was found that Rohingyas, who illegally infiltrated into India all the way from Myanmar, have obtained Indian passports. These illegal infiltrators managed to get the passports posing as residents of Bodhan town in Nizamabad. Local agents have colluded some local cops to certify that the Rohingya foreigners were locals. Based on the reports by the police, they applied for passports and got them. The racket came to light recently when some Rohingyas were arrested.

The police booked cases against Mallesh, who was then head constable in Bodhan and is now SI in Siddipet and Anil, who is an ASI in the special branch at Bodhan. The police and the investigating authorities are now trying to ascertain as to how many Rohingyas managed to secure Indian passports.
