Guinness declares US-born baby as world's most premature baby

When the whole country was celebrating Independence day like a celebration, a pregnant mother had developed labour pain and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical assistance on war foot. As a result, the mother delivered the baby before the due date, making the boy premature one.

The incident took place in Alabama's Birmingham in the United States. One Michelle Butler delivered a baby boy, Curtis Means, who was born at 21 weeks. He was born in July 2020, but the world got to know about him after he made it to the Guinness World Records book.

The Guinness Book of World Records had officially declared Curtis Means as the premature baby in the world who is surviving without any problems. The baby boy who was born at 21 weeks is now six months old and developed no health issues reportedly.

When he was born, Curtis Means was just 420 gms. To help him survive, the doctors at the hospital had provided treatment for him by keeping him on ventilator support. After three months, the ventilator support was taken off and he is doing fine now.

It is said that Michelle Butler delivered twins. Sadly one baby could not make it and passed away. The other baby who passed away was named C'Asya, who passed away a day after entering the world.
