Since Today, Banks such as ICICI, HDFC and Axis Bank began charging at least Rs 150 per Transaction either for Cash Deposits or Withdrawals if exceeded the Four Free Transactions per Month. These charges will be applicable for both Savings and Salary Accounts.
In the latest circular issued by HDFC Bank, It did mention that a cap of Rs 25,000 per Day will be levied on third party Cash Transactions. This move is intended to encourage Customers to opt for digital payments instead of cash transaction.
For ICICI, Rs 5 per Thousand (Minimum Rs 150) will be charged after four free transactions per month in Home Branch. In case of non-Home Branches, Rs 5 per Thousand (Minimum Rs 150) will be charged after the single free transaction per month.
In case of Cash Deposit, ICICI is going to charge Rs 5 per Thousand (Minimum Rs 150) at branches. Whereas, First Deposit will be free from any charges at Cash Acceptance Machines.
