New Worry For Govt: Hundreds Released From Quarantine, Where Will They Go?

Update: 2020-03-31 08:02 GMT
The government and the authorities in Hyderabad have a new worry. A large number of those who have come from abroad and have been quarantined in the government medical facilities have been released on March 31. On Tuesday, they have completed their quarantine. Another batch of people, now in quarantine, will complete their self-locking period on April 7.

This will mean that these people, who have till now been isolated, will start interacting with the general public. There is every possibility that some of them might transmit the corona virus to the locals. The authorities feel that this will be a very crucial period. For instance, the old man who died recently in Khairatabad after testing positive for Corona, had been in contact with at least 200 people, most of them locals. Similarly, a minor boy, who is under isolation in Niloufer Hospital for Corona, is said to have been in contact with some 70 persons.

The Government is now preparing a plan of action to periodically screen those discharged and those who come in contact with them to ensure that the Corona virus spread does not enter the community level.
