India enjoys the second largest internet user after the dragon country China. The count of internet users has increased to an all-time high in the past five years, which has also subsequently increased the number of cybercrimes in the nation.

With the concerned officials and departments working on tackling cyber crimes, the fraudsters started exploring new ways to scam the victims.

The current style used by the fraudsters is sending messages to smartphones claiming that their numbers are in danger of getting blocked. To avoid that, they have to download particular apps through the links provided in the messages.

Once the apps are downloaded, the scamsters easily take crucial information like bank details, Aadhar cards, and other personal details. This is making their work easier.

After looking at these trends, the Cyberabad police are requesting the public to not believe in such messages and urged them to inform police about the fake message they receive.

These apps work in a way that they enable the other person to record crucial information like the data on the bank details and UPI details of the victims. They can also get hands-on the OTPs the victims' phones receive.

It has to be noted that Cyber Crime officials have advised the public to not use seven apps to stay safe from cyber attacks. The seven apps include Anydesk App.

Team Viewer, Quick Support, Any Desk are some of the apps used by the scamsters so that they can use the OTPs and Paytm savings account or bank account of victims.
