Hyd People Not Preferring Metro For The Commute!

The Hyderabad Metro Services that were suspended ever since the nationwide lockout was imposed, resumed its operations in a phased manner under the guidelines of Unlock 4.0.

On Monday, Hyderabad Metro resumed its operations from Corridor 1, and from September 9th, i.e. today three corridors restarted the operations.

Well, the response of the public isn't that great as the number of passengers who traveled in Metro is very less when compared to the pre-pandemic level.

Before the pandemic outbreak, around four lakh passengers used Metro for travel purposes. Coming to now, only 10,000 passengers used Metro on the first day, and 26,000 people traveled with Metro on the second day.

Earlier, the Metro trains used to be jam-packed with passengers, and the current scenario is quite contradictory. Once, the vaccine to cure the pandemic is out, the passengers might prefer the Metro
