Update: 2020-10-02 14:24 GMT
In the wake of the novel Coronavirus getting deeper and deeper into India, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Director Dr. Randeep Guleria said a piece of good news.

Dr. Guleria opined that the potential vaccine to cure the Covid-19 disease might be available in India by January 2021, if everything goes well.

The AIIMS director made these statements who recently took part in awards to honour Corona warriors that were held virtually.

He said it's difficult to say when we can expect the potential vaccine, as many factors play a crucial role, like the effective outcome of the ongoing clinical trials.

He added that if everything goes as per the plans, the potential vaccine may be manufactured by early next year. The vaccine doses might not be enough to serve the country's population and it will take some time for the massive production of vaccines.

Talking about the limitation of the virus spread, he opined that awareness should be created for the population of the rural areas. Covid-19 protocols should be followed.
