India Continues To Fear The Ongoing Pandemic

The situation in India with the virus outbreak turning out to be worse from bad as the county has been reporting the highest spike of cases every other day inculcating fear about the spread of the respiratory disease.

As the latest edition, India reported as many as 57,117 fresh infections were detected and the total infections of the contagious disease in the country heading towards the 17 lakh -mark with 16,95,988 cases.

On a brighter note, India has a record recoveries of the contagious disease with 10,94,374 people recovering so far, including 36,569 people maned to recover from the virus in a single day. India's recovery rate stood at 64.54%.

Looking at the worst-affected states in the country with the spread of the ongoing pandemic Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh bagged the top three spots in the list.

Andhra Pradesh which has been reported over 10,000 fresh cases since three days overtook national capital Delhi and emerged as the third worst-affected state in India. AP has a total of 1,40,933 infections.

Telangana added 1,986 fresh infections of the virus on Friday and the total infections in the state rose to 62,703. So far over 500 people succumbed to respiratory disease.

Globally, as many as  282,095 fresh infections were added in the past 24 hours. With this, the total cases mounted to 17,745,59, while  682,196 people lost their lives to the ongoing pandemic.
