India continued its streak of registering fewer Coronavirus infections as over 31,000 fresh infections were reported in the past 24 hours. India registered less than 40,000 cases for the 11th consecutive day.
The data released by the Union Health Ministry said India registered as many as 31,521 fresh Coronavirus infections in 24 hours, which pushes the total toll country's caseload to 97,67,371
For the fifth straight day, India reported less than 500 fatalities with 412 casualties. So far, a total of 1,41,772 patients succumbed to the pandemic in India with a casualty rate of 1.45 percent.
Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat are adding the lion share of fresh Coronavirus cases compared to other states.
With 37,725 new cured cases registered in the past 24 hours, the total recoveries zoomed to a whopping 9,253,306 which translates to 94.74 percent of the total cases. The active cases stood at 372,293,
Looking at the global scenario, more than 68.8 million people were diagnosed with the pandemic, while more than 1.56 million people have succumbed to the pandemic.
