In a shocking development, India reported as many as 83,883 fresh pandemic cases in the last 24 hours taking the total infections to 38,53,407. This is the highest jump of fresh cases in a single day.
As per the information provided by the Union Health Ministry, 1,043 patients lost their lives due to the contagious disease. With this, the total fatalities mounted to 67,376.
On a brighter note, 68,584 patients managed to recover from the contagious disease in the past 24 hours and the total recoveries rose to 29,70,493. This translates to a recovery rate of 77.09 percent, while the active cases stood at 8,15,538.
