India Reports 5,242 Cases In A Single Day

The deadly disease originated from the Wuhan Province of China continues to bother India as the positive cases are rising rapidly in the country. India witnessed the highest slump of the cases as 5242 cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

With the newly reports cases the toll reached 96,169 and slowly inching towards the one lakh-mark. There are 56,316 active cases in India with 36,824 people managed to recover from the virus and managed to get discharged from the hospitals accordingly.

Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi turned out as the top four worst-hit states in the country in terms of the positive cases, and these four states report around 81% of the total count of the cases.

Talking about Andhra Pradesh 52 positive cases were reported in the state in the past 24 hours and with this, the positive number of the cases in the state stood at 2282.

Guntur, Kurnool, Nellore, and Krishna are teh worst-hit districts in the state that reported the most number of cases in the state.  

On the other hand, the total cases of teh deadly disease surpassed 4.7 million globally while the United States witnessed the most number of cases with more than 1.4 million cases and around 90,000 fatalities.
