India which is the third worst-affected country in the world with the virus outbreak continues to fear the ongoing pandemic as the country reported the highest spike of cases so far.
In the last 24 hours, India reported as many as 69,652 fresh infections of the respiratory disease and the total cases in the country surpassed the 28 million mark and reached 28,36,925.
In a piece of good news, the number of discharged patients tripled than that of active cases of respiratory disease. The active cases stood at 6,86,395, while 20,96,664 patients recovered from the virus so far.

Andhra Pradesh reported as many as 9,742 fresh pandemic infections in the last 24 hours taking the total cases to 313,108. So far, 2906 people have lost their lives battling the dreaded virus in the state.
Telangana's count of cases zoomed to 95,700 with 1,763 fresh infections reported in the last 24 hours. As of now, 719 patients lost their lives due to contagious disease.
