International Short Film Festival is scheduled to begin in Hanmakonda on Friday. This will the first International Short Film Festival in the state after formation of the separate state. It will be a three day event and the festival has received about 100 entries so far from 20 countries.
Film Festival chairman K Nageshwara Rao speaking about the event said that prominent actors and directors from mainstream movies are also expected to be present at the film festival. Three foreign producers will be part of jury and three representatives from Indian film industry will be part of selection committee.
All the short films will be aired at the Kakatiya University auditorium, Nageshwara Rao said.'Rudramadevi' director Gunasekhar and writer Thota Prasad will be felicitated on the occasion.On the second day of the event IT minister KT Rama Rao will attend the event. Organizers of the event said that the three-day festival will be a boost for tourism and urged the people and authorities concerned to make it a grand success
