They have successfully launched it's 100th satellite 'Cartosat-2 Series' on Friday from Sriharikota.  It is a proud moment for all of us. ISRO launch vehicle PSLV-C40 carried 31 satellites(Three satellites belong to India and 28 satellites belong to other countries - United States, Britain, South Korea, France, Canada, Finland).

Revealing the speciality of this launch, Scientists said that the satellites were launched in two orbits, unlike other launches where they launch all satellites in single orbit.  PM Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO on the occasion.  He tweeted that "My heartiest congratulations to @isro and its scientists on the successful launch of PSLV today. This success in the New Year will bring benefits of the country's rapid strides in space technology to our citizens, farmers, fishermen etc."
