One is an MLC who has come into the ruling TRS from the TDP. The MLA is another turncoat from the Congress Party. He had won on Congress ticket, but joined the TRS later. Now, these two defectors are engaged in a battle for supremacy in the party that they are in now.
Both MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy and MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy are from the Tandur area and want to establish their supremacy in the area. While Patnam was the unquestioned king in the Tandur TRS, Pilot has been challenging him. Patnam feels that his importance has come down ever since Pilot entered the TRS. On many occasions, including the membership drive, the followers of the two leaders have had public spats. On one occasions, they clashed right in front of the media.
Now the latest is that Pilot camp is trying to oust Patnam's protégé from the post of Tandur municipal chairperson. Tandur Municipal chairperson Swapna had impersonated and voted in the name of her relative. It has now been proved beyond doubt that she has impersonated and may have to pay the price for this indiscretion. Swapna belongs to Patnam camp. Now, the pilot camp is trying to oust her and get their nominee as the municipal chairperson.
Despite many attempts to patch up, the rivalry between Patnam and Pilot is continuing. It is now threatening to spill over and damage the party's reputation. Will KCR move in and take some action against these two leaders?
