Almost 77 percent polling was recorded in 2019 Andhra Pradesh Elections on April 11th. Violent Incidents and EVM Malfunctioning prompted Election Commission to continue polling till midnight. Interestingly, Both TDP and YCP exuded confidence over the landslide victory.
During the Tele Conference with partymen, Chandrababu Naidu told polling trend is in favour of Telugu Desam Party. He claimed TDP is going to win 130 MLA seats and 20-22 MP seats. TDP Leadership believes welfare schemes such as Pasupu-Kunkuma, Pensions, Annadatha Sukhibava and Farm Loan Waiver will fetch it victory.
YS Jaganmohan Reddy, on the other hand, predicted landslide victory for YCP citing the high polling percentage. He even accused Naidu of plotting to lower the polling percentage as much as possible. YCP Leadership believes Praja Sankalpa Yatra creates a wave in favour of Jagan and it's manifesto promises were far better than TDP.
In 2014, TDP Won 102 MLA Seats and 15 MP Seats with the support of BJP (2 MPs, 4 MLAs) and Jana Sena. YCP managed to bag 67 MLA Seats and 8 MP Seats contesting alone. The margin of difference is just around 2 percent of votes.
