AP Government denied permission for YS Jaganmohan Reddy to walk across the Godavari river on the road-cum-rail bridge in Rajahmundry. What could be the reason?
YS Jagan has been conducting Praja Sankalpa Yatra since November 6th last year and his Padayatra in West Godavari district ended on the 185th Day. He was supposed to enter East Godavari district through the road-cum-rail bridge on Sunday.
However, Permission has been denied for YCP Chief to walk on the Godavari Bridge citing it's too old to withstand the pressure if thousands of people marched on it at the same time. District Authorities appealed Jagan to consider an alternative route to reach Rajahmundry.
Massive vibrations were noticed when Jagan entered Krishna district through Kanaka Durga Varadhi along with thousands of supporters. Still, It managed to withstand the huge pressure because it's relatively new. Whereas, The one at Rajahmundry is too old and hence Authorities doesn't want to take any risks.
