Only 23% Own Homes in Hyderabad
There are several reasons behind this situation. One major reason is the rapid growth of the city. Hyderabad has become a big center for IT companies;
A recent survey in Hyderabad has revealed an interesting and important fact about housing in the city. Only about 23 percent of people living in Hyderabad own a house. This means nearly 77 percent of families are staying in rented homes. The report clearly shows that owning a house in the city is still a big challenge for many people.
There are several reasons behind this situation. One major reason is the rapid growth of the city. Hyderabad has become a big center for IT companies, industries, and business opportunities. Because of this, many people from different parts of the state and even from other states are moving to the city in search of jobs. As the population increases, the demand for houses also rises.
Another important reason is the high cost of real estate. Property prices in Hyderabad have increased a lot in recent years. Land and house prices are now too expensive for middle-class and lower-income families. Because of this, many people prefer to live in rented houses instead of buying their own homes.
The same trend is seen in nearby districts like Medchal-Malkajgiri district and Ranga Reddy district. In these areas, only around 35 percent of people own houses. These districts are also close to IT hubs and industrial areas, so many workers choose to stay there on rent.
On the other hand, rural districts show a completely different picture. In districts like Narayanpet district, more than 68 percent of families have their own houses. Other districts such as Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, and Nagarkurnool also have a high percentage of house ownership. This is mainly because land is cheaper in villages, and people are more settled in their native places.
