Will Andhra Pradesh go for early polls? Is the YSRCP leadership busy making plans to call for early polls? Are the frequent visits of YS Jagan to the national capital Delhi for the same aim? These are the doubts many have looking at the developments in the state as far as the political picture is concerned.
The ruling party YSRCP facing back-to-back blows in the recent MLC polls added fuel to this. Now the ruling party cleared the air on this. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with the party Ministers and MLAs today and discussed various things.
The media reports said that Jagan told the leaders that there is no truth in the reports and that the elections will be held as per the schedule. The Chief Minister also asked the leaders and cadre to be alert that such false news would be spread rapidly and we have to be aware of this.
Looking at the reasons for this, the ruling party faced a big blow with four MLAs coming out as rebel leaders. Though they were suspended from the party they are causing damage to the party with their comments. They are also claiming that several other leaders are also ready to leave the YSRCP.
On top of this, the YSRCP leadership is said to be banking high on the report card of the leaders and many of them were not up to the mark. Moreover, the leaders are not showing interest to meet the people as part of the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabuthvam.
It is also said that the party leadership is yet to finalise the candidates who would get a party ticket for the next general elections. So all these issues might have made the leadership not go for the early polls, as per the political observers.
