What is Jana Sena's role in the current politics? Well, when it dawned on the political horizon, it said it would go it alone in politics. But, how serious is the party in its fight? Is it being seen as a powerful factor in the AP polls at all?
One interesting indicator is that despite there being several dissidents and rebels in both the TDP and the YSRCP, not one of them is looking to join the Jana Sena. Jana Sena thus is not in the reckoning at all. Despite being denied tickets, the leaders are doing rounds of either YSRCP or the TDP, but not Jana Sena.
Why are there no inflows into the Jana Sena? Initially, when the party was founded , there was lot of promise and several leaders joined the party. But now, the situation appears to be quite different. Though Pawan Kalyan himself has announced that he would contest the elections and become the CM of AP, no one seems to be getting enthused.
The reason? Many believe that Jana Sena is having underhand dealings with the ruling TDP and that its votes are just friendly contest. In some places, the TDP might just help the Jana Sena and in other places, it is the vice versa. In many places, the Jana Sena would put up weak candidates and ensure TDP victory.
Hence none seems to be interested in the Jana Sena.
